Hello everybody

I am going to tell you the last drama improvisation lesson.

We played the cat & mouse game the last time.

After that, we played a strange game, we were in circle all looking down and when the teacher gave the signal we looked up. When we look at somebody in eyes, we both died. We had to shout with pain and fell on the ground when we died.

Just before and after the break, we played a TV show in which a student is playing a people who search love. There are three other students who are playing the contestants and a presenter. The contestants have all a special aspect in their personality. So it was an excellent game to play with improvisation, it was very funny because of the improvisation.

The last game was played in groups of five or six. It was a trailer for a fictive movie. We played the one of the movie called "Naval War".

During these entire improvisation lessons, I know that I improve my improvisation feelings. I am more comfortable playing scenes with improvisation or not. And I think I more feel at ease in speaking English.

This is the end of the last lesson, thank you for these lessons.

Kind regards

Hello everybody

I am going to tell you the eighth drama improvisation lesson.

After we played the cat and mouse game, we had to classify us according to various criteria (from the tallest to the smallest, from the cleaner most to the dirtier,…). Then, we were in circle and when a student did a big gesture by shouting, the other had to did the same.

After that, we were by group of four, a student began by miming what he wanted and another student had to say “freeze” to stop him and to continue with the same situation but adding other situation. And the other students had to do the same thing. It was very interesting to improve the improvisation and to accept the mimes of the others.

The other game was an interview between two students, one had to find reasons to be physically lower than the other. The situations were very funny, for example, both were lengthen on the floor to speak during a job interview.

Following the break we played the horoscope, as we didlast time.

And the last game was a reconstitution of the "snow white and the seven dwarves" tale. We had to play the different characters but each one had different handicaps. It was funny to play it but a little bit untidy.

This is the end of the eighth lesson, see you next Tuesday to have new adventures !!!

Have a good week

Hello everybody

I am going to tell you the seventh drama improvisation lesson.

As usual we started with the game "Cat & Mouse".

After that, we played the “wolf” game, one student was the wolf and had to touch another student who became the wolf. To add difficulty, we played this game with slow motion so the escape was very hard because we want to move quickly to run away.

Then, we were in groups of four and we had to pick an object and invent a character using it. The other student had to ask us some questions to build the story. After, we had to play the character we created. This was a good exercise because we train our brain to improvise.

Afterward, we were in very little circle. One pupil was in the middle and let him drop, the other student had to retain him and push him toward another side of the circle. It was very hard but an excellent exercise to improve the confidence between pupils.

The last game was playing his horoscope, the teacher read his horoscope to a student and by group, the student had to play it. It was very amazing and funny because it was a real improvisation exercise.

This is the end of the seventh lesson, see you next Tuesday to have new adventures !!!

Have a good week

Hello everybody

I am going to tell you the sixth drama improvisation lesson.

Number 1 : the  “mouse and cat” game.

We were by three or four, we were placed like a rhombus, we had to follow the student who was in front of the other to repeat all his movements. During the movements, when another student was in front of the other, he became the leader. It was a very funny exercise because we had to be synchronized and the movements were sometimes strange.

In front of the audience, a student had to mime an object like a door, a hole for a tree… and he chose a student in the audience to perform by miming object using the objects mimed by the precedent students. It was very interesting because we had to imagine what we are doing, and it train our brain.

This is the end of the sixth lesson, see you next Tuesday to have new adventures !!!

Have good holidays

Hello everybody

I am going to tell you the fifth drama improvisation lesson.

As usual, we started with the famous “mouse and cat” game.

After, we were in circle, a student began doing a movement and the next student had to reproduce the movement but with more amplitude and each student had to reproduce the movement with more amplitude than his neighbour.

Another exercise was: two students were in the middle of the circle, one student mimed an action, the other asked him “What are you doing?” and the mimed student had to answer an action but not the one he is doing. The other student had to mime the answer action.

There was an exercise which trains the brain, we were by four, a student did movement, another student had to reproduce the movement but he had to answer the questions put by the two other. It was a very hard exercise because we had to do several things at the same time, doing handbook movements and answer questions.

After the break, we did two improvisation exercises:

-       The first, we were four in front of the audience, two pupils spoke about a situation (two men having a baby during the Rio carnival, two gangsters preparing a new job in a bar,…) and the two other had to replace speaker students harms by their, so they did movement in relations with the story.

-       The second, two students were in front of the audience, one thought he was in his bedroom and the other thought he was at the bus stop. The two pupils had to defend their situation and it was very funny.

This is the end of the fifth lesson, see you next Tuesday to have new adventures !!!

Have a good week
